Roketsan has conducted another test of the TAYFUN ballistic missile. This was announced by Ismail Demir, head of Turkey's Defence Industries Directorate.

Here's What We Know

The first test of the ballistic missile took place at the end of 2022. The company released a quality video of the test launch about a fortnight ago. The second launch of TAYFUN took place today, May 23, in northeastern Turkey.

Roketsan said the second test was successful, but no details were provided. The ballistic missile can now hit targets at a distance of less than 600km. In the first test, it flew 561km in 458 seconds. However, in the future, the launch range will be increased to 1,000 km.

Roketsan will conduct more tests on the ballistic missile before it enters service with the Turkish army. The new tests are needed to assess and verify the performance of all components of TAYFUN.
