Sony has been releasing more and more of its games on PC for a few years now, and that trend will only increase in the future.

Here's What We Know

By 2025, Sony plans to increase the share of PC versions of its games to 40%. At the same time, the Japanese developer will not give up console-exclusive games, but will systematically increase the audience of projects by releasing games on other platforms, including mobile devices.

This strategy is justified, as the PC versions of the former PlayStation exclusives are in high demand and bring consistently high profits, as the statistics of the last two ports show.

For example, the PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) sold 1.5 million units and brought in $52 million (as of 31 March). The PC version of The Last of Us Part I sold 368,000 copies, earning $15.5 million (as of 23 April).

It's likely that we'll hear about the release of other Sony games on PC soon, such as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart or The Last of Us Part II.
