The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom became the sixth best-selling boxed game in the UK

Given the incredible popularity of The Legend of Zelda and the loyalty of the Nintendo community, the news that Tears of the Kingdom has become the sixth best-selling boxed game in the UK comes as no surprise or surprise. According to GamesIndustry.biz, physical sales of the game have now surpassed those of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for Switch and Ocarina of Time 3D for 3DS.

After the biggest boxed release of the year, sales dropped 73% during the game's second week, but Tears of the Kingdom still topped the latest software chart, ahead of FIFA 23 and Hogwarts Legacy.

Tears of the Kingdom was released on 12 May and sold 10 million copies worldwide in the first three days, according to Nintendo.
