MIUI has surpassed 600 million monthly users - an increase of 100 million in a year and a half

Xiaomi unveiled the MIUI firmware in late summer 2010. After almost 13 years, the number of active users has exceeded 600 million per month.

Here's What We Know

The rate of audience growth has declined slightly. Xiaomi reported 400 million monthly active users in January 2021, while the milestone of 500 million was surpassed by the end of autumn of the same year. It took about a year and a half for the audience to grow by another 100 million users.

Currently the latest version of the software is MIUI 14, which was introduced at the end of last year. The firmware is based on the Android 12 or Android 13 operating system, depending on the model.

At the end of 2023, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the MIUI 15 shell. The new firmware is expected to be announced along with the flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi 14 family.
