Ukraine to receive Swedish Archer self-propelled howitzers with a range of up to 60km in summer
The Ukrainian Defence Forces will soon be equipped with Archer self-propelled artillery systems. Sweden will supply them during the summer.

Along with Archer howitzers, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive CV90 armoured vehicles. The crews are already completing their training in Sweden. This was announced by Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov during a joint briefing with the Swedish Defence Minister Paul Johnson and the Swedish Civil Defence Minister Carl-Oscar Bohlin.
The Archer is a 155mm self-propelled howitzer on wheeled chassis (6x6). The artillery unit was equipped with a cannon FH 77 BW L52. Maximum firing range is 30 km for fragmentation projectiles and 60 km for M982 Excalibur precision-guided ammunition.
The combat vehicle is equipped with a Volvo D9B diesel engine with 330 horsepower (242 kW) and a displacement of 9400 cc. The power plant allows the Archer to reach speeds of up to 70 km/h. The vehicle has a cruising range of 500 km.
