German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems opens offices in Ukraine

German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems has opened a representative office in Ukraine.

These are service training, support and logistics centres. First and foremost, they will train in the use and maintenance of Vector UAVs. In addition, the centres will purchase spare parts and repair damaged drones.

Ukraine has been actively using Quantum Systems' drones, namely the Vector, since last summer. The company says the UAV offers unmatched manoeuvrability and rapid deployment capabilities. Ready for use in 2 minutes, it provides continuous detection of enemy targets regardless of weather conditions, has a speed of up to 72km/h and can withstand long flight times. The manufacturer's drones work with artificial intelligence systems that facilitate object recognition during aerial reconnaissance.

The Ukrainian Defence Ministry recently ordered 300 medium-range Vector reconnaissance drones from Quantum Systems. The delivery will be funded by the German government. The company has already fulfilled Ukraine's orders twice before: it delivered 33 drones in August 2022 and 105 UAVs in January 2023.
