Google's Pixel Watch has unexpectedly started to "fall apart" for some users

Last October, Google unveiled its first smart watch, the Pixel Watch. It received a lot of flattering reviews from users and experts, primarily due to its stylish appearance. Over time, however, it turned out that this design seems to have reliability issues.

In the last few months, some Google Pixel Watch owners have started to complain on forums. They say that their watch is disintegrating for unknown reasons - more specifically, the back of the case is falling off. In most cases, this has happened when removing the gadget from the charger.

The problem doesn't seem widespread, but it's also not small enough to ignore. Google representatives have not yet responded in any way to the complaints.

However, many users who have contacted official service centres have had their broken watches replaced with new ones. In rare cases, employees were reluctant to acknowledge it as a warranty case and replace the watch.

The problem is most likely due to the poor quality glue that connects the back to the rest of the case. Perhaps it is somehow affected by moisture, sweat and other factors.

Incidentally, this isn't the first case of Google's shoddy build. Pixel 7 users have complained of the rear camera glass spontaneously shattering for no apparent reason. The 2021 Pixel 6 series has received complaints of accidental screen cracks.
