Google Drive and Dropbox integration will soon change a bit - instead of files, you'll see shortcuts with links

Dropbox has sent an email to its users announcing the end of integration with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Instead of files, shortcuts will appear with links to the corresponding files already in Google Drive cloud storage. Dropbox users who have Google Workspace files in their accounts have 30 days to move their files to Google Drive after receiving a notification. Otherwise, the files will be automatically converted to Microsoft Office files.

Since 2018, Dropbox has allowed users to create, edit, and share Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files without leaving Dropbox. This partnership with Google Cloud allowed Dropbox to host its own editors for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, allowing it to completely abandon Google Drive.

According to the email, "Google files in Dropbox will be replaced with document shortcuts in Google Drive" while users connect their Google and Dropbox accounts over the next 30 days. Dropbox noted that this change will allow users to retain access to Google files, keeping them organised with all Dropbox content and ensuring that they can be used.
