The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took third place in the list of best-selling boxed games in the UK

According to GameIndustry.biz, sales of physical copies of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom took third place in the list of best-selling boxed games in the UK, beating Ocarina on N64. The first and second places are occupied by its predecessor Breathe of the Wild and Twilight Princess, respectively.

Tears of the Kingdom took the top spot in the chart ahead of the new Street Fighter 6, which, for some reason, did not have a strong physical launch. The PlayStation 5 version of Capcom's fighting game accounted for 79% of box sales, ahead of the Xbox Series version (13%) and the PlayStation 4 version (8%). FIFA 23, Hogwarts Legacy, and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe rounded out the top five.

Tears of the Kingdom was released on May 12 exclusively for Nintendo Switch and sold over 10 million units in the first three days!
