Apple unveiled tvOS 17 with FaceTime support and new Control Center
In addition to iOS 17, watchOS 10, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, Apple also revealed the tvOS 17 operating system at WWDC 2023.
Here's What We Know
The main innovation of the system is FaceTime support. Users can now start a video conversation on their iPhone or iPad and continue it on their TV. FaceTime on Apple TV supports Continuity Camera. That means you can use your iPhone as a camera and a microphone. By the way, in addition to FaceTime, WebEx by Cisco and Zoom applications will also appear on the Apple TV.
Apple has also added Apple Music Sing to tvOS 17, as well as an updated Control Center. It displays system status, time, profile, and connected smart home devices. The software also includes support for Dolby Vision 8.1 and the ability to install third-party VPN services.
When We Can Expect It
tvOS 17 will be released in the fall, but developers can already test the system.
