Intel has shut down production of almost all Tiger Lake processors and 500 series chipsets
Intel has stopped production of almost all 11th generation chips (Tiger Lake). As a result, the company is also scrapping the 500-series chipset.
Here's What We Know
In April, it became known that all Tiger Lake-B chips, as well as some Tiger Lake-H models with 45W TDP and Xeon W, were no longer in production. The rest of the processors, including the Tiger Lake-H35 UP3/UP4, joined them late last week.
Along with the chips, Intel is phasing out the 500-series chipset. We are talking about HM570, WM590 and QM580. Manufacturers have until 27 October to submit their last request for supplies. Shipment of processors will be completed by December 29th this year and of chipsets by June 28th next year.
At the same time, Intel will continue to produce Tiger Lake UP3 chipsets and motherboards with 500-series chipsets for embedded systems. When support will be discontinued has not yet been specified.
