El Pais: Ukraine wants a battery of Patriot surface-to-air missiles from Spain
According to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, Ukraine wants a Patriot air defence system from Spain.

We are talking about one battery of the antiaircraft missile system. A request for the Patriot system has been submitted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez during the summit of the European political community in Chisinau. Negotiations on the issue are also being held with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Turkish President Recep Erdogan. The fact is that Spain now has two Patriot batteries in service. One is on Turkish territory, while the other protects Spanish territory.

The Patriot is an anti-aircraft missile system developed by the American company Raytheon. It consists of an airborne interceptor missile and a high-performance radar system. The probability of engaging an aircraft is 0.8-0.9 and a tactical missile 0.6-0.8. Incidentally, Ukraine now has two Patriot batteries in service. One was donated by the USA and the other by Germany. The AFU also received two missile launchers from the Netherlands.
