Honor boosts smartphone sales despite crisis - shipments in Europe and Latin America up 400-700%

Honor was able to show explosive growth in the first quarter of 2023. In some countries, smartphone sales increased eightfold.

According to analyst agency Counterpoint Research, Honor's smartphone shipments quadrupled during the reporting period compared to the first quarter of 2022. Sales in Europe were up 400%, in the Middle East 500% and in Latin America 700%.

At the beginning of 2022, the number series models (Honor 70, Honor 60...) were the most popular. They accounted for 95% of sales. Now the share of such smartphones is only 49%. The more expensive X-series devices (Honor X8...) and flagships Magic showed explosive growth.

When it comes exclusively to the European market, the popularity of the Honor Magic 4 Pro in Germany, the UK and France should be noted. An important part of the success has been the Chinese company's partnership with local mobile operators. Through these channels Honor has sold 40% of smartphones in Europe (55% in Western Europe).
