This time, the Kingdom will help Ukraine strengthen its air defence system. The Netherlands will buy 4 VERA-NG passive radar stations for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The amount of the contract is 150,000,000 euros.
The VERA-NG is manufactured by the ERA company. One system consists of three radar receivers with 360° azimuth coverage. This radar is capable of detecting air, land and sea targets. The range is up to 400 km and the accuracy is up to 20 metres. The declared operating frequency range is from 88 MHz to 18 GHz. Incidentally, the VERA-NG is capable of tracking up to 200 targets simultaneously. The VERA-NG works in all weather conditions.
