Emphasis on smartphones: OnePlus won't launch laptops

Many of the major smartphone manufacturers have other products in their range, including laptops and tablets. OnePlus, on the other hand, has so far fought back against this company. It boasts only one OnePlus Pad tablet, with no laptops on its books. And there definitely won't be any in the near future.

Here's What We Know

Kinder Liu, OnePlus president and COO, recently gave an interview in which he shared some of the company's plans. According to him, OnePlus is not interested in releasing laptops yet.

""Our vision for technology puts smartphones and tablets as the primary devices for people to work and play, meaning that PCs and laptops are not something we’re exploring currently"."

The company may be getting into laptops at some point, but for now there are none in development and none in sight.

Journalists also asked Kinder Liu about plans to launch budget tablets. Unfortunately, it is not to be expected yet either - at least not in the near future.

But this year OnePlus is expected to unveil its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus V Fold. Its presentation is expected in the third quarter, but there is no exact date yet.
