Amazfit unveils new Cheetah series and Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro smartwatches for runners
Amazfit has unveiled the new Cheetah series of smartwatches aimed at runners and the first two models in the series, the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro.
Amazfit Cheetah Pro
The model is positioned as a premium watch for elite runners. It features a 1.45-inch AMOLED display with Always-On and a resolution of 480×480 pixels, as well as Gorilla Glass 3 protection and support for over 100 watch faces.
Since this is a watch for runners, there are features such as Zepp Coach powered by artificial intelligence that provides personalised running plans, Virtual Pacer (race achievement prediction and track running mode), Track Run (provides time, distance and pace data for each lap), and MaxTrack GPS technology. It's a dual-band GPS antenna (L1 and L5) that picks up nearly 100% of satellite signals and reduces interference caused by tall buildings and trees. In addition, the watch supports 6 satellite positioning systems.
Also for health monitoring, sleep, stress, blood oxygen levels, heart rate and support for 150 indoor and outdoor sport modes.
Other features include a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth phone calls, 5 ATM water resistance, Amazon Alexa voice assistant, Zepp OS 2.0 operating system, 440mAh battery and battery life of up to 14 days in a typical usage scenario and up to 7 days in heavy use.
Amazfit Cheetah
Generally speaking, the Amazfit Cheetah comes in two versions - round and square - but so far information is only available on the round model. It's a more practical watch for athletes with a 1.39-inch screen with a resolution of 454×454 pixels.
Overall, the specs are the same as the Pro version, the only differences are in size and materials: the bezel is made of fibre-reinforced polymer instead of titanium alloy, and the strap is silicone.
The Amazfit Cheetah (Round) also doesn't have a microphone or speaker, nor does it support Bluetooth phone calls. The watch also has no Wi-Fi connection.

The Amazfit Cheetah is available in Speedster Grey for $230, while the Cheetah Pro is available in Run Track Black and costs $300.
