Croatia transfers 14 Mi-8 helicopters to Ukraine

In March, Croatia announced that it would hand over its Mi-8 helicopters to Ukraine. They are already in Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

A picture of one of the planes was published by the Telegram channel @UkrAirForce. In total, Ukraine received 14 helicopters: part of the Mi-8MTV-1 and part of the Mi-8T. The helicopters were handed over to the AFU in May. Nine of the aircraft flew to Ukraine on their own, while five were brought in by ground transport.

The Mi-8 is a Soviet multi-purpose helicopter developed in the early 1960s. The Mi-8 is the most mass-produced twin-engine helicopter and one of the most widely used helicopters in aviation history. It is widely used for many civil and military missions. The Mi-8 has many modifications. It can be found in over 50 countries worldwide.
