Polish studio Bloober Team is in no hurry to reveal details of the remake of one of the most important and iconic horror games - Silent Hill 2.

The only trailer was revealed in the autumn of 2022 and since then there have been no details about the game. The situation is being rectified by the respected game insider Dusk Golem who has been sharing exclusive news on a regular basis.

Here's What We Know

One Dusk Golem subscriber asked if Bloober Team was planning to expand the original game, to which the insider replied, "Yes, the game will be 100% bigger than the original."

If we try to be specific about this answer, we can assume that gamers will be offered not just a technically updated game, but an augmented and expanded remake similar to the ones released by Capcom. If that's the case, gamers can expect new locations, quests, possibly a slightly altered storyline or the developers will introduce new characters.

Given the cult status of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team is playing it safe, as even the slightest deviation from the original could result in a wave of criticism from the fans, especially if they don't like the new additions.

When We Can Expect It

A release date for the Silent Hill 2 remake is unknown, but according to several sources the game may be released in 2023.
