Ukrainian Defence Forces seize modern upgraded Russian T-72B3 tank of 2016
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have added to the list of trophy military equipment. The 47th Magura Independent Mechanized Brigade has captured a 2016 T-72B3 tank.

A video of the captured main battle tank was posted by Sergeant Valeriy Markus. Judging by its appearance, the T-72B3 has suffered no damage. The tank was captured in Zaporizhzhya region, where the 47th Brigade is conducting an offensive.
The 2016 T-72B3 is one of the latest upgrades of the Soviet T-72B tank, which appeared in 1985 as a variant of the T-72A fighting vehicle with the 9K120 guided weapon system, the Contact dynamic protection and the V-84 power plant.
The 2016 model tank has hollow-shields and the Relikt modular dynamic protection system. The fighting vehicle is equipped with a 2A46M-5-01 cannon, a V-92S2F powerplant and an automated gearbox.
