YouTube vs ad blockers: video hosting will block player after 3 attempts

It looks like Google has begun testing a more aggressive approach to the use of ad blockers on its video hosting site YouTube.

Details

Last month, some users who did not subscribe to the service for a fee began receiving warnings that the use of various ad blockers on YouTube was prohibited.

Now, however, users have started receiving new alerts. YouTube says the video player will be blocked after three warnings. Until you run out of these attempts, there are two ways out of the situation: disable the ad blocker and continue watching along with the ads, or subscribe.

Similar messages have been reported by Reddit users. But it seems that the innovation is still only being tested with a limited number of users.
