Here's What We Know
The strike was carried out at the airfield. The information first appeared on social media, after which it was confirmed by the Berdyansk city military administration, which stated that the headquarters and ammunition depots had been hit.
Locals reported an air defence system, 11 explosions and a fire in the direction of the airfield. The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Strategic Communications Centre later confirmed the strike and said the headquarters and fuel and lubricant depots had been hit.
Russian media have published video of the missile wreckage. Judging by the serial numbers, the strike was indeed Storm Shadow. Russian army casualties have not yet been specified. A few days ago there were more than a dozen helicopters at the airfield.
