Ukrainian FPV drone Pegas+ spectacularly destroyed a Russian T-62MV tank with a brazier on its turret
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' Pegas+ drone has spectacularly destroyed another Russian T-62VM tank. This time the kamikaze drone struck the T-62MV.
Here's What We Know
The Russian fighting vehicle was destroyed in Donetsk region. The video first shows the FPV drone flying into the tank, and then from a different angle shows the explosion.
The T-62MV was equipped with additional protection, which was popularly called a "brazier". It consists of grids welded onto the turret. Sometimes sandbags are thrown on top. This is supposed to protect the tank from Bayraktar TB2 drones and Javelin missiles.
In conclusion, the T-62MV tanks are not as common in war as many other fighting vehicles. According to Oryx analysts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have captured or destroyed 15 Soviet-made T-62MVs and one 2022 model tank since February 24.
