Samsung will re-release the Galaxy S21 FE after all - with a new (old) processor and the same price
More and more sources are confirming that Samsung has decided to give the old Galaxy S21 FE smartphone a new life by relaunching it. So far, we're only talking about a release in India, with no word on other markets. But one still wonders what changes await the Galaxy S21 FE to qualify for a new launch?
Here's What's New About It
An insider posted a promotional image on social media that describes all the innovations of the Galaxy S21 FE. Firstly, it's the new processor (actually the old one). The fact is that only the version of the smartphone with the proprietary Exynos 2100 chip was available in India, and now it will be replaced by the Snapdragon 888. Secondly, the inbuilt memory will increase from 128GB to 256GB.
Thirdly, the updated Galaxy S21 FE will get a new colour - dark blue. It is likely to join the list of pre-existing colour options including white, graphite, lavender and olive.
In addition, 91mobiles has also received information on the Galaxy S21 FE's price - it will be around $610. That is almost as much as the smartphone cost when it was launched a few years ago ($670). Who, by Samsung's logic, would buy an old smartphone with features from 2 years ago at the price of modern models - it is unclear.
