Apple will also unveil AirPods Pro headphones with USB-C at iPhone 15 launch - Bloomberg

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman continues to reveal the new products expected at Apple's traditional autumn presentation. The same one where the iPhone 15 smartphone range is set to debut.

Last week we wrote about how the Apple Watch Ultra 2nd generation smartwatch and Apple Watch Series 9 will be revealed at the event, and now Mark writes that the next generation of AirPods Pro wireless headphones will be unveiled along with them.

Don't expect any big changes, but there will still be some interesting innovations. First and foremost is a charging case with a USB-C port. This means that the Apple headphones, as well as other gadgets, are switching from the proprietary Lightning to USB-C.

Apple is also testing a new hearing test feature. The headphones will play different tones and sounds to determine how well the user hears and, if necessary, inform them of problems. In the long term, Gurman said Apple is working on adding additional health sensors to the AirPods' equipment, to track indicators such as body temperature through the ear canal.
