Doubts about the development of the Red Dead Redemption remaster/reimake are fewer and fewer.

Last week two pieces of news revealed that Rockstar Games is working on the updated version of the cult western: the game got new age rating in South Korea and developers updated the icons of RDR achievements in Rockstar Games Social Club.

Now another reputable source has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will return in an improved form.

Here's What We Know

Insider, journalist and former IGN editor Colin Moriarty said on his Patreon page that he has seen hard evidence that a Red Dead Redemption remaster exists. What's more, he is sure that the game will be announced in the near future, possibly as early as August (gamescom 2023?).

I can confidently state that I've seen confirmation that the RDR remaster is real. I don't think you need to prove it, but I have someone who contacted me and showed me something that absolutely indicates that this game will indeed be released. The announcement is probably just around the corner - maybe even in August. It's not a big surprise to me. The South Korean rating agency doesn't just rate games. They rate what is given to them.

The release of the RDR remaster will be a big deal, as the game has only been officially available on PS3 and Xbox 360 since its release in 2010. Plus, it's technically severely outdated, but it's still one of the best story-driven games out there. Most likely, the release of the remaster will allow the widest possible public to experience the famous game by Rockstar Games.
