Meta launches Threads: a Twitter competitor with a minimalist design and Instagram sync

Meta, as promised, launched its new social network Threads on 6 July.

Here's What We Know

Threads is a Twitter counterpart where users can interact with each other via short messages. The app is already available on the App Store and Google Play. There is no web version of Threads yet.

The app has got a minimalistic look and feel with a black and white interface. A dark theme is available.

You can set up your social network profile yourself or sync it with your Instagram account. In the second case, all your subscriptions as well as your profile picture and description will automatically appear in Threads.
