Ukraine signs contract for production of 16 Slovak Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited Slovakia. The Ukrainian president officially announced the signing of an agreement for the production of Slovak howitzers Zuzana 2.

Volodymyr Zelensky met with Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. At the press conference he thanked Slovakia for its defence support and said that a contract had been signed the day before for the production of 16 Zuzana 2 howitzers. Details of the agreement were not specified.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces received the last self-propelled howitzers manufactured in Slovakia a few months ago. The first video of the artillery unit's combat use on the front line has recently been published.

The Zuzana 2 is equipped with a 155-mm gun, which enables it to destroy enemy targets at a distance of up to 41 km. The cannon is mounted on a Tatra 8x8 truck chassis with a maximum speed of 80km/h and a range of more than 700km.
