Capcom announces two million copies of Street Fighter 6 sold
Street Fighter 6 was a great success immediately after its release, with both critics and casual players praising the game (92 and 62 points on Metacritic respectively). Another indicator of success was the number of copies sold in five weeks - 2 million. This figure was announced by the developers themselves on their Twitter account:
Here's What We Know
This is an impressive figure, especially for a fighting game. It looks like Capcom will still be able to reach its goal of 10 million copies sold throughout the game's lifecycle. For comparison, Street Fighter 5 sold about 600,000 fewer copies in its first six weeks and fell short of the initial target of 2 million sales. And in seven years, the game has been bought about 7 million times, making it a bestseller among home consoles.
Given that Street Fighter 6 has been launched in much better condition, there is no doubt that it will continue to sell consistently well.
Street Fighter 6 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Windows.
