Poland continues to help Ukraine by transferring Mi-24 attack helicopters to the Armed Forces.
Here's What We Know
The US edition of The Wall Street Journal shared the information. The helicopters were sent to Ukraine secretly. Presumably, we are talking about about 10 helicopters. By the way, in total 32 such helicopters were in service of Poland in modifications Mi-24B and Mi-24D.
Flashback
The Mi-24 is a Soviet-made infantry support helicopter. The Mi-24 concept involves close cooperation with armoured and infantry units during a large-scale military conflict. Incidentally, the Mi-24 is one of the symbols of the war in Afghanistan. Today the helicopter is in service in many countries, including Ukraine.
