It will take you about 20 hours to complete both story campaigns in Alone in the Dark

Over the past few months, horror fans have had plenty of great projects to look forward to, and in the near future, they'll also have plenty to keep them busy in the summer heat. Among the numerous games of the genre that are due to be released this year, we can name Alone in the Dark, a reimagining of the long-dormant survival franchise.

Here's What We Know

Alone in the Dark will retell and expand the story of the original game. Emily Hartwood and Edward Carnby, played by Jodie Comer and David Harbour respectively, will be the main characters, each with their own unique perspective on the story. But how long will the story of each of them be?

In a recent interview with gamingbolt, we asked Andreas Schmiedecker, Associate Producer at THQ Nordic, who confirmed that the game will take around 6-10 hours to complete, with the total duration of both campaigns being at least twice that:

"We target a playtime of 6-10 hours for one campaign. For the full story experience, we would expect players to play the game at least twice.".

Earlier, developer Pisces Interactive also confirmed that both Emily and Edward's campaigns will feature exclusive videos, locations, and sequences that won't be found in the other's campaign.

When We Can Expect It

Alone in the Dark is scheduled to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Windows on 25 October.
