In January 2023, Microsoft announced the layoff of 10,000 employees.

The main purpose of such a large-scale staff reduction was to optimise the company's costs. But experts cite another reason - an excessive number of employees recruited during the pandemic period when digital technologies were in maximum demand.

Unfortunately, the company announced another wave of layoffs.

According to Tom Warren, editor-in-chief of The Verge, this time the layoffs will affect a much smaller number of people. 276 people from sales and technical support departments will lose their jobs.

Both office workers and those who work remotely will be cut.
