Unexpected but pleasant: Dragon Quest Treasures is out on Steam
After the successful (and as it turned out, temporary) exclusive launch of Dragon Quest Treasures on Nintendo Switch, Square Enix suddenly decided to release the game on PC on Steam. The Standard Edition will cost you $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe costs $54.99 and additionally contains in-game bonuses and items.
Here's What We Know
The main characters in the game are Erik and Mia, who may be familiar to you from Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age. The plot tells the story of how a brother and sister embark on a journey to Draconia, where they must find treasure and the seven dragon stones. Fortunately, they won't have to do it all alone, as they can hire monsters along the way to help them in their explorations, navigation and battles.
Upon returning to the base, players will be able to sell the treasures they have collected to get gold, as well as find powerful weapons and tools.
The game has received restrained reviews on Metacritic: 72 points out of 100 from critics and 60 points from ordinary players. Meanwhile, on OpenCritic, which aggregates ratings from many publications, the game's score stopped at 73.
