Two years late: Tesla has launched the first Cybertruck

Remember the buzz that the Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup truck made back in the day? Surely, many have already forgotten about it, as the official presentation took place back in 2019. However, the other day the company reported on the completion of production of the first Cybertruck.

Here's What We Know

The first copy was assembled at the Giga Texas plant in Texas. The corresponding photo was published on the Tesla Twitter page. Hopefully, the company will launch the Cybertruck in mass production and will not postpone the release date again.

When Elon Musk unveiled the Cybertruck in 2019, he promised to start production in 2021. Since then, the timeline has been repeatedly postponed. Recently, the company promised to start production in the summer of 2023 - and has finally delivered on that promise. Although, of course, so far it is only one exemplar.

By the way, in 2019, not only other dates were voiced, but also other prices - from $39,900 for a single-engine version. But most likely there will be no such prices: Musk has already hinted that the cost will increase, and Tesla removed the price list and specs from the Cybertruck pre-order page a few years ago. As it turns out, the futuristic design is difficult to manufacture, and there are also issues with the 4680's batteries.
