Microsoft fixes player selection for 16-year-old shooter Shadowrun on Xbox 360
Although the servers for the 2007 action shooter Shadowrun have never officially gone down, they were actually down during one of the Xbox Live patches that addressed the issue with older versions of Call of Duty, but according to a post by user wwm0nkey on ResetEra, the situation has improved since the latest update.
Here's What We Know
The game, which was released back in 2007, has recently garnered a Discrod community of more than 2000 members who are trying to revive this FPS on Xbox 360. Shadowrun is a first-person shooter developed by FASA Interactive and published by Microsoft Game Studios. At the time of its release, the game had average reviews, and the Xbox 360 version scored 66 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Although it is equally unclear what has been fixed in Xbox Live, as the old CoD games still have huge problems with hacking and cheaters. Before these games were added to the backwards compatibility programme, it was rumoured that measures had been taken to prevent such players from entering the lobby, but it is unclear whether this was done.
