Ukrainian Armed Forces show Su-25 attack aircraft launching Zuni missiles at occupants' positions (video)
A video of the AFU using US Zuni surface-to-air missiles has appeared on the Internet.
Here's What We Know
The video was published on the YouTube channel @mazutsd. The video shows two Ukrainian Su-24 attack aircraft, which are paired to work on the positions of the occupants on the front line. The aircraft are flying at low altitude. The pilots bully the nose of the planes upwards and then fire missiles.
Flashback
The Zuni is an American unguided air-to-ground missile. It was developed in the 1950s. It is designed to destroy ground targets at a distance of up to 8 kilometres. The missile has a diameter of 127 mm, weighs over 36 kg and can fly at speeds of up to 2,599 km/h. Zuni is equipped with different warheads: fragmentation, high-explosive, armour-piercing, illumination, smoke and dipole reflective. Ukraine received a batch of such missiles from the US in May.
