Tesla Model Y became the first electric car in history to top the list of best-selling cars in Europe at the end of the half-year period
Since the beginning of the year, Tesla has sold more than 125,000 Model Y electric cars in Europe. This allowed the crossover to become the most popular car in the region.

According to the results of the first half of the year, Tesla was able to realise 125,144 electric cars Model Y. Sales in comparison with the same period last year jumped more than three times (211.7%). Of these, nearly 30,000 units were sold in July, roughly double the number sold in June 2022.
The Tesla Model Y became the first ever electric car to top the European car market at the end of six months. In second place was the Dacia Sandero, and not third was the Volkswagen T-Roc. They were sold 118,883 and 107,249 units respectively.
The first five were closed by Opel Corsa and Peugeot 208. Renault Clio, Toyota Yaris Cross, Volkswagen Tiguan, Volkswagen Golf and Dacia Duster were also in the top ten best-selling cars of the first half of 2023.
