Politico: US plans to start delivering Abrams tanks to Ukraine in September

The US publication Politico, citing its sources, has revealed when Ukraine will receive US Abrams tanks.

According to journalists, the United States of America plans to start deliveries of combat vehicles in September. The tanks will first arrive in Germany. There they are going to be pre-modernised and then transferred to the AFU. The first batch should consist of 6-8 tanks. In total, Ukraine will receive 31 Abrams tanks in the M1A1 modification from the United States.

By the way, the Ukrainian crews are already undergoing a 10-week training programme on how to use the equipment at training ranges in Germany. The training programme is due to end in August.
