Xiaomi has unveiled Smart Door Lock M20 Pro with 3D face scanning function

Xiaomi on 27 July revealed not only Redmi smart TVs in China, but also a new smart door lock.

The novelty was named Xiaomi Smart Door Lock M20 Pro. The main feature of the novelty was a 3D face-scanning function. According to the company, similar technology is used by banks for financial payments, and it can also be found in access control systems. The technology works thanks to a dual-core chip, AI and special sensors. The scanner automatically recognises the user as soon as they approach the door. The false recognition rate is 0.0001%. The feature works both day and night.

Apart from this, users can also unlock the lock using NFC cards, Bluetooth, pin code, fingerprint scanner, smartphone, smartwatch or smart bracelet. The device also has a 180-degree camera and an inbuilt display. The lock comes with a 5,000 mAh battery backup. According to the company, with its help, the novelty will be able to work up to 12 months. The battery is charged via the USB-C port.

Xiaomi Smart Door Lock M20 Pro can already be pre-ordered in China at a promotional price of $390. Then the novelty will cost $420.
