Ukraine will receive Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery units from Slovakia tomorrow, 1 August.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the Slovakian edition Denník N. We are talking about two rigs. Denmark, Norway and Germany bought them for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In total, the contract includes 16 self-propelled guns of 155 mm calibre. The purchase amounted to 92 million euros.

Zuzana 2 is a Slovak self-propelled artillery unit, which is a modification of the Dana SAU. It is built on a TATRA 8x8 wheeled chassis. The vehicle is equipped with a 155 mm howitzer with a 52 calibre barrel length and a maximum range of 41 km. The weight of the howitzer is 32 tonnes. The machine is equipped with an automatic loading system that allows it to fire 6 rounds per minute. Zuzana 2 is operated by a four-man crew. By the way, the Ukrainian armed forces have been using Slovak artillery systems since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
