Last week Samsung announced the Galaxy Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5 smartphones. The next "big" novelties of the manufacturer from the Republic of Korea will be the flagships of the Galaxy S24 family. One of them was tested in Geekbench.
Here's What We Know
Recently there were rumours that the next-generation flagships may have an Exynos 2400 processor. However, the Samsung Galaxy S24+ appeared in the Geekbench 6 database with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.
The version with 8GB of RAM and Android 14 operating system passed the performance test. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has three clusters of two cores each at 2.27GHz, 2.96GHz and 3.15GHz, as well as one Prime core at 3.3GHz.
The result of the Samsung Galaxy S24+ was 2233 points in Single-Core mode and 6661 points in the Multi-Core test. The gains over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip found in the Galaxy S22+ are about 11 per cent and 26 per cent respectively.
Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor this autumn. Samsung's Galaxy S24 flagships are expected to premiere in the first quarter of next year.
