The DPRK has revealed the Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missile with a launch range of 15,000 km, which can carry a nuclear warhead weighing up to 1.5 tonnes
At the parade in Pyongyang, North Korea demonstrated not only naval drones that can carry a nuclear warhead. The DPRK showed the Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missile.
Here's What We Know
The Hwasong-18 can deliver a nuclear charge to a distance of about 15,000 kilometres. The DPRK has only launched an intercontinental ballistic missile twice. The last test took place in mid-July, after which the US nuclear submarine USS Kentucky arrived in South Korea with Trident II (D5) ballistic missiles and possibly nuclear weapons.
Hwasong-18 travelled approximately 1,000 km with an average speed of 222.67 m/s during a test flight and fell into the sea between the Korean Peninsula and Japan. The intercontinental ballistic missile is equipped with a solid-fuel engine and weighs up to 60 tonnes.
The Hwasong-18 is 25 metres high and 2 metres in diameter. The intercontinental ballistic missile can carry a nuclear warhead with a mass of 1.5 tonnes.
