Ukrainian actor Vlad Shevchenko is raising funds to buy 18 domestically-made Rubaka kamikaze drones for the General Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Here's What We Know

In a short video, a Ukrainian military officer says that the Rubaka kamikaze drones have shown themselves in combat earlier, i.e. production has already begun. It takes ₴10 million to buy 18 drones, meaning one drone costs ₴555 000 or $15,000 on average.

The technical specifications of the UAV are not specified. It is only known that Rubaka has a launch range of up to 500 kilometres. Of the design features should be noted the location of the propulsion system in the front part.

Another notable feature is the absence of a camera. This hints to us that the kamikaze drone strikes at predetermined coordinates. Most likely, the Rubaka uses an inertial guidance system.
