Dasung announced the world's first monitor with a colour e-ink display
Many modern e-books are equipped with E-Ink screens. Dasung has decided to bring the technology to monitors.
Here's What We Know
Dasung announced the world's first monitor, which will be equipped with a display on colour electronic ink. The Chinese company began to raise funds for the production of the device on the IndieGoGo platform.
The cost and date of the beginning of sales of the monitor is not yet specified, but the key technical characteristics are already known. In particular, the future novelty received a 25.3" diagonal display with support for 4096 colours and a resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels.
The frame refresh rate will be below 60 Hz, which calls into question the comfort when viewing some types of content. There will be HDMI, DisplayPort and USB Type-C connectors for computer connectivity, as well as support for Apple's AirPlay and Miracast technologies.
