The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a video of the use of the Czech RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher system

The RM-70 Vampire is one of several Western multiple rocket launchers in service with the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Recently, Ukrainian defenders showed a video of the Czech system being used.

Here's What We Know

The RM-70 Vampire is a modernised variant of the RM-70. This modification is based on the Tatra-815-7 with a power plant Tatra T3C V8 with an output of 270 horsepower. The vehicle can reach a speed of 90 km/h and has a maximum range of 1000 km.

The launcher in the RM-70 Vampire has 40 rails and can fire a salvo of 40 122 mm fragmentation rockets in 20 seconds. The range of fire is 20 kilometres. It takes 2 minutes to reload.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received an unknown number of multiple rocket launchers. In addition, in early 2023, volunteers from the Czech Republic opened a collection of $2.25 million to buy RM-70 Vampire and 365 missiles.
