Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is gearing up for a global launch: when will the smart bracelet be released outside China and how much will it cost?
Back in April, Xiaomi unveiled the Smart Band 8 fitness tracker. But so far it is available only in China. Nevertheless, retailers in other countries are already preparing for the global announcement.
Here's What We Know
A large Polish retailer has created a product page on its website with details about the start of sales. True, the bracelet is called not Xiaomi Smart Band 8, but Mi Band 8. The page was quickly removed, but not so quickly that journalists did not have time to take a screenshot.
According to the retail listing, the bracelet will go on sale on 3 October. It will cost PLN 199, which is equivalent to about €45 or $49 after conversion. That price includes Poland's tax, potentially making it available for less than $40 in the United States. Meanwhile, in China, the gadget costs $35 and $40 (NFC).
In case you missed the official presentation, we remind you that Xiaomi Smart Band 8 has a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with a dot density of 326 pixels per inch and brightness up to 600 nits, support for over 150 workout modes, sensors to track steps travelled, blood oxygen levels, stress, sleep and women's health. It can run without recharging for 16 days. If you activate the Always-on mode, the working time is reduced to 6 days. A special feature of the model are special fasteners, thanks to which the "capsule" can be worn on trainers and even as a pendant.
