Microsoft Paint for Windows 11 will add artificial intelligence algorithms for image manipulation
Microsoft is exploring ways to incorporate artificial intelligence-based features into Paint for Windows 11, which could include the ability to create images based on text prompts.
Here's What We Know
According to media reports, the feature will be powered by the same technology behind Bing Image Creator. That tool produces an image based on a custom description.
The mockup published on the Internet shows a "Magic Paint" button, as well as a sidebar that allows you to enter a description of the image to generate it. Presumably, the resulting image can be transferred to a canvas for further modifications.
Apart from Paint, Microsoft is going to add artificial intelligence tools to Photos, Camera and Snipping Tool apps. For Photos, this could be a new feature that allows you to identify people or objects in a photo and then cut and paste them into other areas.
OCR feature in the Camera app for Windows 11
Microsoft may add optical character recognition (OCR) technology to Snipping Tool and Camera. This will allow each app to recognise text in photos or screenshots.
