The Ukrainian Defence Forces will have several long-range drones in the future. This is stated in an article by the New York Times.

Here's What We Know

The article mentions the events of the current week, when russia attacked an airport where four Il-76 aircraft were burned. A few hours after that, Russia launched dozens of cruise missiles Kh-101, Kh-555 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones at Ukraine.

The publication writes that Ukrainian specialists are working on the development of about a dozen long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. Some of them will be able to hit targets at a distance of 1,000 kilometres.

Details about the new long-range drones are not yet available. Last year, a UAV that will have a launch range of 1,000 kilometres was officially announced. It is expected to have a 75kg warhead. Recently, volunteers showed the Beaver drones. They too can destroy targets within a range of 1,000 kilometres.
