New smart Fitbit bracelets are unlikely to force competitors to bite their elbows, but compared to the previous generation of gadgets - this is a big step forward. Presented Fitbit Charge 2 received four times the increased OLED-display, heart rate monitor and several interesting software chips, and Fitbit Flex 2 and at all became the first fitness tracker of the company, which is suitable for swimming.

The Fitbit Charge 2 display shows the main indicators of physical activity. Switching between them can be done with a mechanical button on the case, and a tap-changer opens a submenu (this is not a full-featured touch interface). The bracelet has learned to use the GPS module of the smartphone to maintain detailed statistics of the training. The Cardio Fitness function measures activity based on the age, gender and weight of the user. And in Relax mode, the tracker offers to relax and do a short respiratory gymnastics.

In addition to measuring heart rate, Fitbit Charge 2 supports sleep monitoring and displays notifications from the smartphone. The battery life reaches five days. Sales of new items will begin in mid-September at a price of $ 149.

More simple Fitbit Flex 2 is equipped with only LED-indicators that show the current progress and notify the user about incoming calls. But the "smart" bracelet is enclosed in a waterproof case that can withstand immersion to a depth of 50 meters. All the latest Fitbit gadgets automatically determine the type of activity, and this model is no exception. And a little coach reminds of a warm-up, if the owner sits for a long time in one place without moving. At full charge, the gadget will last up to five days. A small module is easily removed from the elastic straps of a variety of colors, and apart from them the company offers more refined options in the form of Bangle bracelet and Pendant pendant with 22 carat gold plated.

The starting price of Fitbit Flex 2 is $ 100. Pre-order can be issued right now, but deliveries will begin only in October.
