A large Chinese online store Suning announced in Weibo the upcoming launch of the updated smartphone Nokia 6. The second generation model also managed to be noted in the results of the benchmark Geekbench.

How is it interesting?

Nokia 6 (2018) will significantly add to the performance compared to the original model. According to information from Geekbench, the smartphone uses the eight-core Snapdragon 630 processor. The amount of RAM is 4 GB, there are versions with a drive for 32 GB and 64 GB. With the display, everything is not so clear. On the one hand, the database of the Chinese TENAA regulator refers to a 5.5-inch Full HD-panel with the usual 16: 9 aspect ratio, but the photo shows an option with an extended screen. Perhaps this is only a visual impression due to the thinner frames from above and below. In any case, the fingerprint scanner has moved to the back of the metal casing.

The smartphone will receive a basic 16-megapixel and frontal 8-megapixel camera. The battery capacity is the previous 3000 mAh. Prototypes are running Android 8.0 Oreo.

So when is the announcement?

In China, the successor to Nokia 6 will be released on January 5, 2018. Information about the release in other countries there. Nokia 7, for example, has not yet appeared on the international market.
