Meizu sold 20 million smartphones in 2017

Meizu Company held a press briefing in Beijing, where she told about her income and sales for 2017.

Senior Vice President Yang Xun, who spoke at the event, said the company had sold about 20 million smartphones in 2017. He also added that Meizu's revenue was approximately 200 billion yuan. Smartphones are sold in 40 countries.

If we compare with 2016, the figures fell by 2 million, which is quite significant. But at the same time, revenue grew. The decline in sales has affected not only the company Meizu, but also other Chinese manufacturers. According to statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, sales of smartphones in the country fell by 32.5%. In addition, the flagships Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus were not sold as well as expected and this affected the performance.
